Day 12 - Lurly Jack's Eviction Interview

Here's what you've been waiting for. It's the transcript of Duleea McChen's exclusive interview with Lurly Jack, following his eviction from the house yesterday.

DM: Ladies and Gentlemonsters, let's hear it for Lurly Jack
LJ: Hi everyone Wooooooo! Woooooooo!
DM: So Jack, you're the first out of the Monster Big Brother house. How do you feel about that?
LJ: Really good actually. Woooooo!
DM: Now that surprises me, because from out here, it looked as though you were just starting to hit your stride in there.
LJ: Yes, I was starting to enjoy myself, but I've learned so much in there that I actually wanted to get out here and put that into practice.
DM: By turning to a life of crime?
LJ: What? No! What do you mean?
DM: When you opened that box for the task, I think that's when you really became more confident. There's been a lot of talk in the media about how you would become an international jewel thief when you got out.
LJ: That's rubbish!
DM: Yes it is, isn't it.
LJ: I felt like the other housemates had really accepted me and that I've started to accept myself and that's important.
DM: It certainly is. One last question, who do you want to win Monster big Brother?
LJ: Marvin Wooooooooo! Yeah, Marvin all the way wooooooooo!

Day 11 - Lurly Jack is Evicted

Lurly Jack has been evicted from the Monster Big Brother house and he's just about to come back into the real world after 11 days in seclusion. Here he comes...

Jack looks a little unsteady as he's hit by a wave of cheers from the crowd. Now he's waving and smiling and wow, spinning on one corner edge, that's quite a trick, I wonder why he never did that in the house? And here comes Duleea to guide him through the fans and into the studio for one last interview before he's free to go.

Come back tomorrow for highlights of Lurly Jack's interview with Duleea.

Day 11 - Eviction #1 Duleea Speaks to the House

The Monster Big Brother housemates are gathered on the sofas in the living area and everyone looks tense, many of them are holding hands, including Hector and Swannie. Suddenly they hear what they've been waiting for all day.

"Monster Big Brother House, this is Duleea you are live on the blog, please do not swear!!"
"sh*t"says Marvin, breaking the tension and making everyone laugh, Duleea laughs too.

"The poll has closed, the votes have been counted and verified and I can now reveal, the first monster to be evicted from the Monster Big Brother house is............

....Lurly Jack"

"Come to the front door Lurly Jack, it's time to go"

Marvin bursts into tears and hugs his best friend. "I'll see you soon"

"I can't believe it" say Mabel and Madeline together

"Even by my standards this is brutal" says Cthulhu (Sky)

Day 10 - Lurly Jack in the Diary Room

Monster big brother called Lurly Jack into the diary room today, to ask him a few simple questions.

MBB: Hello Lurly Jack, how are you today?
LJ: Excited about tomorrow, Woooooo! I can't wait to hear Duleea's voice
MBB: Lurly Jack, how has your time in the house been so far?
LJ: It's just been brilliant, I was so worried at the beginning that the other monsters wouldn't accept me because I'm you know, different. But they've all be really great and that task, wow, my confidence has just soared after that.
MBB: Who have you bonded with in the house?
LJ: Marvin. What a character, but I think Mabel and Madeline are nice and I love Cthulhu (Stripes) he's like the Monster Big Brother house Dad
MBB: Is there anyone you haven't bonded with in the house?
LJ: Not really.
MBB: Thank you Lurly Jack
LJ: Woooooooo!

Day 9 - Psych Analysis Part 2

Monster Big Brother Psychiatrist Dr Schrumpfen has been watching the Monster housemates carefully and has plenty of insight into how they may be feeling after their first week in the house. Here's what she had to say about five of our housemates.

Mabel and Madeline many single headed monsters assume that two headed monsters are more prone to schizophrenia. This is of course untrue and these two are a perfect example of that. I would like to see them let their whiskers down a little though.

Cthulhu (Stripes) He's very classy, but it takes a lot of energy to stay so in control, I wonder if he will he crack and show us his true self.

Lurly Jack obviously has an inferiority complex, which he's struggling to conceal, this may explain why he has aligned himself with Marvin because his exuberance distracts from Jack's perceived shortcomings.

Marvin has a childlike innocence which is very endearing and he is toning down his behaviour. I'll be interested to see if he can continue to "grow up" in the Monster Big Brother house.

Morris. If I had Morris in my office for a consultation I'd be pressing the panic button as soon as he walked in. SCARY!

Day 6 - Marvin in the Diary Room

Monster big brother called Marvin into the diary room today, to ask him a few simple questions.

MBB: Hello Marvin, how are you today?
M: Great, well a bit wobbly actually and I feel bad about the pool, sorry about that.
MBB: Marvin, how has your time in the house been so far?
M: Awesome! Wow, I'm still so excited to be here.
MBB: Who have you bonded with in the house?
M: Jack is the best, I mean he really understands me. But I like Kelvin and Swannie too and Cthulhu (Stripes) he's so funny, the way he talks in that big thundery voice all "Tremble Mortals" it cracks me up.
MBB: Is there anyone you haven't bonded with in the house?
M: Not really, I know I can be a bit much sometimes, I think I annoy Morris, but I think everyone annoys Morris.
MBB: Thank you Marvin
M: Is that it? Hello Mum! (waves manically)

Day 6 - Terrence in the Diary Room

Monster big brother called Terrence into the diary room today, to ask him a few simple questions.

MBB: Hello Terrence, how are you today?
T: Out of my comfort zone in the kitchen actually (laughs)
MBB: Terrence, how has your time in the house been so far?
T: Brilliant! I've made some great mates, I think we'll definitely stay in touch when this is over
MBB: Who have you bonded with in the house?
T: Hector and Kelvin, they're cool and after the task, who doesn't love Lurly Jack?
MBB: Is there anyone you haven't bonded with in the house?
T: Probably Marvin because he just doesn't sit still for long enough to get to know him
MBB: Thank you Terrence
T: Thank you Monster Big Brother. Can I go now, I've got to baste the turkey?

Day 5 - Ganymede Makes Amends

Ganymede has been uncharacteristically quiet since the Monster housemates passed their first task yesterday.

Earlier this morning, just as the other monsters were crawling out of bed and making coffee, Ganymede asked Lurly Jack if they could talk. Here's what Ganymede had to say:

"I've underestimated you Jack. You're a really great monster and you're an intelligent guy. I'm sorry to say that I said some rather nasty things about you in the diary room a few days ago. I'm not proud of myself and I wanted to apologise to you before you saw those comments replayed when you left the house. I'm sorry."

Lurly Jack looked a bit confused and then he said "OK, is it because I'm a pendant?"

"Er no actually, it was the screaming" said a very sincere looking Ganymede.

"I do scream a lot" admitted Lurly Jack "OK"

The two monsters then shared a slightly awkward hug. Only time will tell if this is for our benefit or for real.

Day 4 - What's in the box?

A monster party of course!

There were lots of goodies in the box including chocolate mice for Kelvin and honey for Hector. Lurly Jack got some hair gel and Mabel got some rootbeer candy, there was also some alcohol, party hats and a music request list with plenty of disco.

Looks like it will be a Monster Big Brother House party tonight

Day 4 - House Hero

Earlier today the Monster Big Brother housemates received their first task in the form of a large metal box full of luxury items which they have been challenged to open. So far they have found a keyhole, but no key.

Terrence organised the monster housemates into search parties to find the key which they all agreed must be hidden in the house somewhere. They turned the Monster Big Brother house upside down looking for the key.

The housemates only had 23 minutes left of the three hours given to them to open the box when Lurly Jack had an idea.

Jack ran over to the box and examined the lock "I can open this!" he shouted. The other monster housemates came running back and watched in awe as Lurly Jack slid his credit card like body into the gap between the hatch and the box, he shook and shimmied and before you could say pendant-tastic the little hatch was open.

His monster housemates shouted and screamed with joy and gave Lurly Jack lots of hugs, even Ganymede and Morris joined in the congratulations. Then the monster housemates set about emptying the box.

Day 3 - A Controversial Housemate?

Morris and Ganymede came to the diary room last night, with something on their minds.

MBB: Good evening housemates, how are you?
M: We're not happy
G: It's about Jack. He's a little two dimensional
M: The kid's a freak!
MBB: Monster Big Brother reminds housemates that discrimination against another housemate is punishable by instant eviction from the Monster Big Brother house
G: It's not just the pendant thing, although that is weird
M: If he talks about his hair one more time, I'll scream
G: That's it, the screaming, he's always screaming, have you noticed how nervous Ratu is?
M: Ratu's great but whenever Jack starts screaming he hides under the sofa
G: I do wonder if he's in the house out of political correctness

So Lurly Jack is not off to a great start with some of his housemates, or perhaps some of his housemates need to be more accepting?

Day 3 - Nocturnal Creatures

Almost every Monster in the Big Brother house is awake more at night than during the day.

The Cthulhus are the most at home in the darkness, they often stay up till the early hours discussing the pressures of being such a popular Lovecraftian terror. Hector, Terrence and Kelvin have really bonded over their shared love of music and even Morris, who continues to be taciturn stays awake to listen to other people talk.

Swannie and Mabel and Madeline get more giggly after midnight and Ganymede will happily talk until dawn (even if no-one is listening). Marvin and Lurly Jack never seem to run out of energy and often keep the other housemates awake because they're so loud.

The only Monster continuing to crash out early is Ratu, so far he's fallen asleep at 11.45 each night. Awww.

Day 2 - A Rude Awakening

It was very early this morning before the last of the Monster Big Brother Housemates went to bed. So only one of them seemed pleased to be awake at 7am.

Marvin woke the other housemates by jumping from bed to bed and shouting "BIGBROTHERINSPACEBIGBROTHERINSPACEBIGBROTHERINSPACEBIGBROTHERINSPACE"

Lurly Jack screamed, Ratu growled, Hector hid under the duvet, Mabel started crying and Cthulhu Sky was cursing like, well like a Lovecraftian terror who's been woken up too early in the morning.

Swannie and Kelvin restrained Marvin on the floor and tried to calm him down. Through the hyperventalation and wild arm movements it started to become obvious that Marvin thought the Monster Big Brother House had been moved into orbit as they slept! Swannie took Marvin out to the garden in an attempt to convince him that they were still on Earth, Kelvin went to make some tea and everyone else went back to sleep.

In space? What kind of budget does he think this show has?
