Hector's Eviction Interview

Monstrochaussette, Hector is the winner of Monster Big Brother 2009. After a triumphant exit from the house yesterday, Hector spoke to Duleea McChen:

DM: Ladies and Gentlemonsters, the winner of Monster Big Brother...it's Hector!!!!!
H: Merci, merci beaucoup, thank you all
DM: Hector. Did you ever think you would win Monster Big Brother?
H: I thought there was a chance, but I did not think about it. It was my intention to have good times in the house and I think that is most important.
DM: It certainly seems to have worked for you. How did you manage to stay so calm, it seemed as though you never lost your temper?
H: This is not true, I was angry with Ganymede during the hug task, for which I am sorry.
DM: And you did upset some housemates
H: But I always am sorry, I never mean to be upsetting, I did not understand about Cthulhu and the tentacles, but now I do.
DM: Awww, I'm sure he doesn't mind really. So what do you think you will do now?
H: I intend to return to France and otherwise I have made no plans.
DM: Is there anything you'd like to say to all your fans?
H: Yes, thank you very much, you are all my friends and thank you to all my housemates who have made this so much fun. You are the best.
DM: Actually, Hector, you are the best. You've been an international sock monster of mystery and a fantastic winner. Thank you.

Ganymede's Eviction Interview

Ganymede was the penultimate monster to be evicted from the Monster Big Brother house. He spoke to Duleea McChen as soon as he left the house:

DM: Ladies and Gentlemonsters, it's Ganymede!
G: Hello, good afternoon everyone.
DM: Ganymede, it's great to see you, you're so fluffy in person! Do you think your housemates understood how fluffy you are?
G: Good question Duleea. The Monster Big Brother house is an alien environment for me, I'm usually quite a shy monster. My social skills are not great.
DM: You had a bit of a bad start
G: I did, I suppose I fell into a bad crowd with Morris. But being up early in the morning with Kelvin helped me to put some perspective on that.
DM: You must have done something right, you came so close to winning!
G: I know, it's very perplexing.
DM: What was going through your head just now when you and Hector were waiting to hear who had won Monster Big Brother?
G: Everything from the last 25 days, everything. It's an extraordinary amount of pressure.
DM: What was your favourite moment in the Monster Big Brother house?
G: When Marvin thought the house had been moved in to space. What a leap of imagination! There were so many great monsters, with so many great skills, it makes me proud to be handmade.
DM: We're proud of you too Ganymede, you've been an early morning philosopher and a great housemate. Thank you.
G: Thank you Duleea.

Terrence's Eviction Interview

After a triumphant exit from the Monster Big Brother house yesterday Terrence joined Duleea McChen for a chat about his time in the house.

DM: Ladies and Gentlemonsters it's Terrence
T: Woooo! Hello!
DM: That was quite a reaction from the crowd.
T: Wasn't it? I'm so surprised.
DM: Well you shouldn't be, you've made quite an impression out here, you have plenty of monster fans. Did you have fun in the Monster Big Brother house Terrence?
T: I certainly did. It's quite an experience and I've learned a lot about myself and about the way I deal with other people. I'm very glad I did it.
DM: Any regrets?
T: No, not ever.
DM: Not even that you didn't steal any socks
T: (laughs) No I didn't in the end. Funny though because I think someone else was stealing shoes.
DM: Nothing gets past you does it Terrence? It was Morris and I'll tell you all about it later. What was your favourite part of being in the Monster Big Brother house?
T: Meeting all the other monsters, what a great group of creatures.
DM: Well, I won't delay you any longer Terrence, I know that Maisy is waiting for you in the green room. Thank you Terrence, you've been a brilliant monster housemate.
T: Thank you for having me

Kelvin's Eviction Interview

Kelvin was the third most popular Monster Big Brother housemate this year, he spoke to Duleea McChen as soon as he came out of the house yesterday.

DM: Ladies and Gentlemonsters, it's Kelvin! (pauses for applause) OK Kelvin I know you're desperate to know about Morris and it's been awful watching you struggle through the last week without knowing what happened. So I'll just sum up for you.
K: Yes please
DM: As you know Morris is a Sock Brownie with a speciality in magical cobbling and not a miserable old sock monster at all. Well now everyone knows, Morris' magical powers have disappeared and he's looking forward to living a more normal and cheerful life. Oh and he fixed my shoes. Genius!
K: Wow, er...I thought his secret identity needed to be protected, I had no idea he wanted a normal life, imagine deciding that in front of an international readership of millions.
DM: And there you go again, Kelvin, thinking about other people first. Aren't you in the least bit annoyed that you got dragged in to this. You had to lie for him.
K: It was my fault, if I hadn't seen what was in his shed at home I would never have known. Plus I was lying to protect his magic and all the good it does for people, as well as him.
DM: You really are just as sweet in person as you are on the blog. OK, moving on...Swannie, she's nice isn't she?
K: Yes she's very nice.
DM: Do you think you'll see her again, now you've left the house?
K: I hope so. I really do.
DM: Awww. So Kelvin what was your favourite moment in the Monster Big Brother house?
K: Playing cards with Swannie on that night when she was really upset. I felt like I was helping her out.
DM: Thank you Kelvin, you've been a super softie special monster housemate.

Swannie's Eviction Interview

Swannie was the first of the final five monster housemates to be evicted yesterday. She spoke to Duleea McChen straight out of the house.

DM: Ladies and Gentlemonsters, it's Swannie
S: Hello, hello everyone
DM: So what was it like being the only girl monster in there for the last week.
S: I didn't notice actually, I was still having so much fun.
DM: You weren't having too much fun earlier in the week. You seemed quite upset.
S: Yes, I really missed Mabel and Madeline after they were evicted
DM: Are you sure you weren't upset about Hector?
S: No, I don't know what you mean
DM: OK, moving on. We noticed that you've got closer to Kelvin in the last few days. He's nice isn't he?
S: He's lovely, so helpful and kind.
DM: Do you fancy him?
S: Duleea! I'm not going to talk about that.
DM: Oh alright then. What was your favourite part of being in the Monster Big Brother house
S: The Karaoke Party, it was brilliant fun and we really felt like a proper house full of friends that night.
DM: Aww. You've been a beautiful girlie pink monster housemate. Thank you.
S: Thank you Duleea.

Day 25 - Hector has Won!

Hector has won Monster Big Brother 2009. He received 52% of the votes and is one of the most popular monster housemates we have ever seen. The fireworks have started and here comes Hector now.

The crowd are going crazy! There are several girl monsters in the audience who are screaming and fainting. Hector is grinning hugely and enjoying every second of this incredible experience.

Now he's applauding and gesturing at his ex-housemates. He's encouraging the audience to show their appreciation for all te monster housemates. What a Gentlemonster!

Day 25 - Ganymede is Evicted

Ganymede is the runner up monster housemate in this year's Monster Big Brother.

And here he is. Nervously stepping out of the front door and waving his horns at the crowd. The crowd are cheering and clapping, although they're obviously saving some energy for their winner, who will walk out of that door in just a few minutes time.

Titan, Ganymede's large younger sister is jumping up and down in the crowd and causing quite a commotion as smaller monsters struggle to not be bounced on. Ganymede has seen her and is now smiling widely.

Ganymede will now speak with Duleea McChen and the interview will be available on the blog tomorrow.

Day 25 - And The Winner Is!

"Monster Big Brother House, this is Duleea you are live on the blog, please do not swear!!"

Stay where you are Hector, we'll see you soon. Ganymede come to the front door it's time to leave."

Hector and Ganymede are hugging one another and jumping on the sofa.

"Well played" says Ganymede. "I suppose I'd better go now, see you soon!"

Day 25 - Terrence is Evicted

Terrence has been evicted from the Monster Big Brother house, he's just walked out of the front door and the monster crowd have given him a real welcome.

The crowd are singing D-I-S-C-O, I suppose it's more of a chant really, but Terrence is loving it. He's striking a pose at the top of the stairs. The security monsters are encouraging him to come down the stairs and meet Duleea but he's enjoying himself too much up there.

Look...Duleea is coming up the stairs to him. She's dancing with him and now she's taken him by the hand and she's leading him into the studio.

Day 25 - Eviction #9 Duleea Speaks to the House

Terrence, Hector and Ganymede are the three remaining monster housemates and one of them is about to be evicted. They're sitting next to one another on the sofa and they are intensely somber looking

"Monster Big Brother House, this is Duleea you are live on the blog, please do not swear!!"

"S*@T!" they all shout together and then bust out laughing "It's a Marvin tribute" says Terrence.

"The poll has closed, the votes have been counted and verified and I can now reveal, the ninth monster to be evicted from the Monster Big Brother house is...

Day 25 - Kelvin is Evicted

Kelvin has always been the good guy of the house, but now he's been evicted will the crowd be good to him?

And the answer is yes! The monster crowd are giving him a rousing cheer as he comes down the stairs. But he still seems anxious he's scanning the crowd for something or someone. There's Morris, waving frantically, the crowd have made room for him and he's running towards the barriers to get as close as he can to Kelvin. Kelvin has seen him and is looking more relaxed now. Morris is shouting something...the crowd has gone quiet so that they can hear it..."it's ok, they know and I've never been happier". Now the crowd is whooping and cheering twice as loud. What a reception!

Day 25 - Eviction # 8 - Duleea Speaks to the House

Day 25 - Swannie is Evicted

Swannie is the seventh Monster Big Brother housemate to be evicted this year and the first to be evicted on this finale night.

She pokes her head around the door and the crowd go wild. She's giving them a huge smile and a wave as she confidently steps down the stairs.

Oh no, they're throwing things! It's OK, they're throwing pink confetti! The crowd are throwing pink confetti for the pinkest monster housemate. She looks extra pink with pride.

Day 25 - Eviction #7 - Duleea Speaks to the House

The nervous monster housemates are waiting on the sofas. The tension is palpable and when they hear Duleea's voice, they all scream with excitement (even Ganymede).

"Monster Big Brother House, this is Duleea you are live on the blog, please do not swear!!"

"The poll has closed, the votes have been counted and verified and I can now reveal, the seventh monster to be evicted from the Monster Big Brother house is....

Day 25 - Finale Day!

The monster housemates have been in the Monster Big Brother house for just under 4 weeks and today we'll find out who you have chosen to be the winner.

Minster Big Brother host Duleea McChen will speak to the house four times today and the blog will be reporting live from each announcement, each eviction and the final announcement of the winner. Duleea's full interviews with each of the monster housemates will be published on the blog tomorrow.

Day 24 - Kelvin in the Diary Room

Kelvin has had quite a range of experience in the Monster Big Brother house, he's calmed Marvin, protected Morris' secret, showed us his locking skills and found a special friend in Swannie. Monster Big Brother called him to the Diary Room to ask him a few questions.

MBB: Hello Kelvin
K: Hello Monster Big Brother
MBB: How are you feeling today Kelvin?
K: I feel great, I don't even care if I don't win tomorrow.
MBB: Is there anything you will miss about the Monster Big Brother house?
K: Getting to spend so much time with so many amazing monsters, especially Swannie and Ganymede. Although I'm sure I'll see them again.
MBB: And what are you looking forward to in the outside world when you leave the house tomorrow.
K: I need to get back to TheKitschEnd and find out how Morris is doing and I've really missed my Mum.
MBB: Thank you Kelvin
K: Thanks Monster Big Brother

Day 24 - Duleea Says Hi!

The monstrously charming Ms Duleea McChen visited the production offices this morning to talk about the Monster Big Brother Finale tomorrow. We asked her who she thinks will win Monster Big Brother:

"Well, first of all, I'm so excited about tomorrow and I think that whoever wins, it's going to be a great evening.

But, having said that my heart belongs to Kelvin. What a sweetie? His Mum is never going to believe he's up to no good again. Of course the bookies favourite is Ganymede and the international press are crazy about Hector. I think it's going to be a close race."

Day 24 - A Romantic Night In

Yesterday Kelvin and Swannie won a special prize in the Group Hug task. A romantic dinner for two. Just for the occasion, the patio in the garden was converted for al fresco dining whilst the other housemates remained locked inside the house.

Kelvin and Swannie's evening started very light heartedly with them both making jokes about their waiter being ex-housemate Marvin. Of course there was no waiter, just moonlight and roses and dinner.

As the evening progressed the topic of conversation moved on to more serious matters as they discussed climate change, recycling and other ecologically aware topics close to Swannie's heart.

At the end of the evening, Swannie thanked Kelvin for a lovely evening and went to bed early whilst Kelvin stayed in the garden and watched the stars.

Day 23 - Hector in the Diary Room

As Hector left the Group Hug task, Monster Big Brother called him to the Diary Room to answer a few questions about how he feels.

MBB: Hello Hector, how are you today?
H: Much better now I don't have Ganymede's horns in my leg.
MBB: What are you most looking forward to when you leave the house on Friday, Hector?
H: I cannot wait to get home to RonRonCarre. It's a small place, but I think I may be quite well known there now.
MBB: Is there anything you miss from the outside world Hector?
H: Everything! And everyone. I don't know where to begin. Hmm, a fine meal would be marvelous, in a tasteful restaurant, overlooking a river, perhaps in Paris. That sounds very fine.
MBB: And is there anything that you think you will miss from the Monster Big Brother House.
H: I will miss Terrence of course and Kelvin is good fun. Oh and the beds. I must find out what kind of mattresses you use here, I sleep well on these beds.
MBB: Thank you Hector.
H: Merci

Day 23 - Spa-tastic

The monster housemates won a selection of luxury spa treatments as their reward for completing this week's task.

They've been sipping champagne and giving one another monster pedicures. Swannie is wearing a mud mask and Terrence is using a teeth whitener, Hector just exfoliated and Kelvin has agreed to let Swannie paint his nails.

Ganymede may have overdone the horn polish though; he says his horns feel "loose"!

Day 23 - All Shall Have Prizes

The Group Hug task is over!

Monster Big Brother told the housemates that they had passed the task with flying colours:

"Until this morning there were no duration records for the Group Hug, so you have set the first record at 2 hours and 20 minutes . Congratulations Monster housemates. As a reward you have all won a selection of luxury spa treatments. Kelvin and Swannie, because you held the hug for the longest time you have been rewarded a romantic dinner for two."

Swannie let out a little squeal when she heard the news and Kelvin started to blush.

Day 23 - Two hours and Twenty Minutes?

After Hector got huffy and left the Group Hug task, Ganymede started to seem uncomfortable, and muttered things like "it's the decent thing to do" and "like a gooseberry".

He broke away from the hug, just as Terrence realised what was going on.

"Don't" said Terrence, but it was too late. "You have to be touching TWO other monsters at all times for the hug to be valid. So that's the end of the task."

Ganymede was very embarrassed "I'm so sorry, I completely forgot about that...I just...er..."

Swannie and Kelvin were still hugging. "Let's wait for conformation from Monster Big Brother" said Swannie.

Day 23 - Another One Bites the Dust (bunnies)

Kelvin thinks that the Group Hug task should be renamed the "Group Moan" task as ever since the monster housemates have been hugging, everyone has had something to moan about.

Hector's current complaint is that he keeps getting Ganymede's fluffy fur in his mouth. Ganymede's reply that he should perhaps keep his mouth shut, was not well received. Neither was Kelvin's request for them to be patient and relax, this just led Ganymede to call Kelvin a hippy. Swannie says she wants to sit down because her legs are aching.

And there goes Hector. "I have had enough of this nonsense" he says as he lets his arms drop and gives a big stretch.

So just Kelvin, Swannie and Ganymede left now.

Day 23 - Terrence is Out (of the task)

Terrence finally gave in and after apologising to his fellow monster housemates he broke away from the Group Hug task and ran to the bathroom.

Ganymede, Hector, Kelvin and Swannie have now been hugging for one hour and 38 minutes. How much longer can they last?

Day 23 - Group Hug is Go

The final five Monster Big Brother housemates are locked together in a big cuddly group hug, because this week's task is an attempt to break the record for the longest held group hug.

They've been hugging for an hour now, but the cracks are starting to show. Terrence needs to pee and Hector has a cramp, Ganymede is complaining because he doesn't have arms and hugging with his horns is too difficult. Only Swannie and Kelvin are still giggling about it.

Day 23 - Where's the Task At?

The monster housemates were all up early this morning to see what Monster Big Brother had delivered during the night.

Today is task day, but there was no special equipment in the house and as yet, there are no special instructions.

Kelvin was nervously making tea and toast when Monster Big Brother called all the housemates to the diary room.

Here's what Monster Big Brother said:

"Today, you will all take part in an attempt to break the world record for the longest ever group hug.

When you leave the Diary Room an alarm will sound, this will signal the beginning of the group hug, all housemates must be touching at least two other housemates at all times for the hug to be valid.

If a housemates breaks away from the hug they will be eliminated.

The last two housemates in the hug will receive a special prize for themselves. The reward for the other housemates will depend on the length of time spent hugging."

It looks like the final five are going to get very close.

Day 22 - Final Task Tomorrow

The final task is tomorrow. The monster housemates last chance to win some luxury items before they leave the Monster Big Brother house on Friday.

Day 22 - Celebrity Monsters Pick Their Favourite Housemates

The last time we asked celebrity monsters for their opinions on the monster housemates, we had such a great response from our readers that we've had more celebrity monsters come forward to tell us their favourites:

Apparently Hector has an entire community behind him. We were sent this statement in a slightly damp envelope. "The Giant Squid Community feels that Hector represents a truly international monster and in an effort to promote the literature of Jules Verne we feel that he would be an excellent spokesmonster. Go Hector!"

An Uruk-Hai told us that he likes Kelvin, although we're not sure whether he meant as a housemate or as an entree.

Space Invaders came out of retirement to offer their support for Ganymede and to inform us that all our base are belong to them (!?)

And Godzilla took time out from his busy schedule to tell us that he likes Terrence; Godzilla likes disco music too.

We also had a telephone message from Hollywood, which sounded like this "Me under contract, so me not say name. But me love Swannie she like pink frosted cookie. Cookie! Nom nom nom"

Day 22 - Terrence in the Diary Room

Terrence has been a rocksteady monster housemate. He never seems to lose his cool or be mean to anyone. Monster Big Brother called him into the Diary Room to ask him a few question.

MBB: Good morning Terrence
T: Good morning Big Brother. What happened to yesterday's intruder?
MBB: The intruder has been dealt with.
T: Err, that's scary.
MBB: Terrence, on Friday you will return to the outside world. What have you missed the most during your time in the Monster Big Brother house?
T: Maisy. And everyone knows it. (laughs) Although I miss everyone else from SquareJane too. Like Jose, I wonder what he's been up to? He's such a joker.
MBB: Is there anything from the Monster Big Brother house that you think you will miss, Terrence?
T: Having a pool in the back garden is pretty cool.
MBB: Thank you Terrence.
T: Bye Monster Big Brother.

Day 21 - He Said What?

Earlier today the Monster Housemates were sunbathing in the garden when they heard a voice coming from over the garden wall. Swannie screamed, Kelvin ran to her side and everyone else shouted "shhhhh" as they strained their ears to hear what the voice was saying.

The whole incident lasted less than a minute, but it's given them plenty to talk about:

"He's definitely gone" said Terrence
"How did he get in?" Swannie asked "it's really scary"
Kelvin reassured her by saying "It's OK they've obviously taken him away"
"What was he saying?" asked Ganymede
Then Kelvin joined in"Yes what did you hear?"
"It sounded like Get Kelvin" said Terrence looking utterly shocked
"Or Hester Pryn" said Hector
"Why would anyone be shouting for 19th century American literary heroines?" asked Ganymede, rolling his eyes at Hector "Actually I think he was shouting for you. 'Hector to Win'"
"Zut Alors!" said Hector, so surprised that he momentarily reverted to his native language.
"and 'Morris is Good'" said Swannie, looking straight at Kelvin
"Are you sure that's what he said, I think it sounded more like 'Chorus of Hood'?"

Poor Kelvin, he just doesn't know that Morris' secret is out.

Day 21 - Intruder Alert!

We can now reveal that the technical difficulties experienced earlier in the Monster Big Brother house were the direct result of actions taken by an intruder who broke into the outer compound and production offices.

The intruder was a small monster who claims that he is a "Massive Fan of MBB!"

He has caused no lasting damage and he has now been escorted from the premises by Monster Security and cautioned by the Toy Police but he did shout some things over the garden wall and this gave the final five monster housemates something to think about.

What did he say? We'll have more details later today.

Technical Difficulties

Day 21 - Swannie in the Diary Room

Swannie has been having a rough time over the last few days. Monster Big Brother called her to the Diary Room to ask her some questions.

MBB: Good morning Swannie, how do you feel today?
S: Good morning Monster Big Brother. I feel much better today thank you. I think getting a good night's sleep has really helped.
MBB: What helped you to sleep better last night, Swannie?
S: It's much quieter in here now that Marvin's gone. And there's a lot less snoring.
MBB: Is there anyone you're particularly looking forward to seeing when you leave the Monster Big Brother house on Friday.

Day 21 - Morris' Eviction Interview Part 2

After the shock of his exit from the house and the revleation that he is not a sock monster after all, Morris has taken some time to calm down before sitting down quietly with Duleea to discuss his time in the house.

DM: Welcome back Morris. Thank you for agreeing to a second interview.

M: That's my pleasure.

DM: Well you certainly seem like a different monster today to the one I watched in the house.

M: I am. There are certain rules to being a brownie and one of them is that my work must be kept secret.

DM: But Kelvin knew who you really were didn't he?

M: He's quite a sharp little lad our Kelvin. It didn't take him long to realise that there was something more to me than just being a grouch. Once he saw inside my shed he put two and two together. He's so quiet, I didn't even notice he'd popped into the garden to introduce himself.

DM: So he's known all the time the you have lived in TheKitschEnd?

M: Yes, all four years. I was worried that it might be a problem but he promised not to say anything and I trusted him. I don't blame him for slipping up in the house; he was just trying to defend me.

DM: So why were you so mean to him, and the others?

M: When you want to keep a secret it's easier to do it when people don't want to get to know you. That's why most magical socks are grumps.

DM: But you're not like that now are you?
M: No, alas the spell has been broken. Too many people know.
DM: So what happens next?
M: Well usually you just move onto the next town where no-one knows you but there's no precedent for something like this. I don't think there is anywhere I can go now.
DM: Well Morris, that begs the question, why go into the house in the first place?
M: I think deep down I wanted out. I've loved helping people but I don't like having to be so grumpy all the time. I suppose I secretly hoped that if I was found out I'd be free of that. I wouldn't have my magic anymore but I could still do good things for people in other ways. I know Kelvin didn't want me to come. I couldn't look at him when we were first in the house. He thinks my gift was something special to share but, after all these years, I think it's time for me to have friends and try living like a normal sock.
DM: Well thank you Morris. We're out of time for now but I'm sure the viewers would all agree when I say that you have been the most surprising housemate we've had. What a lovely sock.
M: Well thank you Duleea, it's been great.

Day 20 - Ganymede in the Diary Room

Monster Big Brother called Ganymede into the Diary Room to answer a few questions about making it to the final week. Here's what he had to say.

MBB: Hello Ganymede, how are you feeling today?
G: I'm quite excited actually. I never thought I'd make it this far, but here I am in the last week.
MBB: Do you miss anything about the outside world, Ganymede?
G: Basic personal freedoms (laughs)
MBB: Anything specific?
G: Yes, I miss my family, especially my big little sister Titan. I don't know how she's managed without me.
MBB: Do you think you will miss anything from the house when you leave?
G: Well, I already miss not having Mabel and Madeline's cooking. But I suppose, the monsters, there are some great monsters in here. I hope we'll keep in touch.
MBB: Thank you Ganymede
G: You're welcome Monster Big Brother.

Day 20 - Kelvin Tries to Make it Better

Kelvin has spent a lot of time with Swannie this afternoon. Our pink princess monster had quite a shock this morning when she realised that Hector was just not that into her. Poor Swannie came to the Diary Room straight after the incident and cried on Monster Big Brother's shoulder about how lonely she felt without Mabel and Madeline.

When Swannie finally emerged from the Diary Room after an hour of sobbing, she found Kelvin waiting for her with a pack of cards "Do you want to play snap?' he asked and Swannie agreed.

They've been talking about their friends and family and who they really want to see when they leave the house in five days time. And we think we just heard Swannie laugh. Good old Kelvin.

Day 20 - Swannie is Sad

Swannie has obviously been missing her friends Mabel and Madeline over the last 24 hours. She just hasn't seemed like her usual enthusiastic self.

But things went from bad to worse today when Hector said something to upset her. Hector and Terrence were talking about Terrence's special friend Maisy and Hector asked about how they met

"I am very interested in how you meet monster girls" said Hector "I haven't met anyone special in years, I must be looking in the wrong places."

Swannie was cleaning the kitchen, but she overheard the whole conversation and ran away crying. As she headed for the Diary Room Hector said "What's wrong with Swannie?" And this made her cry even harder.

Day 20 - Your Final Five

Day 19 - Morris' Eviction Interview

M: Hello.

DM: How you doin' Morris?

M: meh

DM: Well, you weren't so popular when you came out. Was that a surprise?

M: Not really.

DM: Look, lets' cut to the chase. There's been talk of something in your shed and a trip to TheKitschEnd reveals some interesting facts about brown sock monsters. You're not a sock monster after all are you?

M: What?

DM: You're a sock brownie!

(Gasps from the audience)
M: What? Well, er, hmm......oh....
DM: So tell us Morris. What's it like being a genuine good guy? Thanks for fixing my shoes by the way.

M: My pleasure. (Morris smiles) I mean erm, what shoes...no idea what your erm...

DM: Ladies and gentlemonsters, Morris smiled!!!

(Cheers from the audience)

M: NO! I...

DM: So it's you who's been fixing our shoes. Sounds like you've been a helpful guy all your life helping people by fixing their shoes and saving their socks from harm. That's what you've been doing in your shed isn't it?

M: Kelvin?

DM: Yes Kelvin did let something slip but we worked it out for ourselves. Morris are you OK?...Morris?....Morris?...Sorry everyone, I think we need to take a break. We'll give Morris a chance to take all this in and we'll get back to you tomorrow with the full story.

Day 19 - Cthulhu (Stripes) Eviction Interview

C: Oh dear, yes that was rather frightful wasn't it? I'm simply not built for interactions with netting. Such a disappointment.
DM: Do you think you could have done a better job if you'd had more time to practice instead of arguing over who would go first.
C: Sadly, no. I think I was always destined to make a mess of it.
DM: Alright then, let's move on to something a bit happier. You were like the house Dad, is that a role you enjoyed?
C: Actually yes, I suppose it comes with my great age and experience that I should feel the need to act in a parental role.
DM: Who was the naughtiest of your “children”?
C: Marvin I think...
DM: Not Morris?
C: Hmmm, I've been thinking about Morris and I don't think he should be in the Monster Big Brother house. I'm not sure he's really a monster.
DM: He certainly seems monstrous.
C: Yes, I think that is the point.
DM: Ooh, very cryptic. I can't let you go without asking, can you do the voice for us, please?
C: Do you mean TREMBLE MORTALS
DM: That's the one. So who would you like to win Monster Big Brother?
C: Ganymede, he's very clever and interesting, but terribly insecure, I feel this may give him the confidence boost he needs to help him become a fully rounded monster.

Day 19 - Marvin's Eviction Interview

Overstimulated amigurumi monster Marvin was evicted from the Monster Big Brother house yesterday and then topped off the experience with some crowd surfing. He (briefly) spoke to Duleea McChen yesterday:

DM: Ladies and Gentlemonsters. It's Marvin.
M: Yay woooo! Look, I'm on the blog!!
DM: Sit down, Marvin, come on.
M: I can't sit down, I'm too excited.
DM: Would you like to run around for a bit.
M: Yes please (runs around, slapping high fives with the audience and jumping around)
DM: Are you done now?
M: Yes Duleea. I'm just excited to be on the blog.
DM: I hate to break it to you but you've been on the blog now for two weeks.
M: Yeah, I know
DM: I only mention it because it sometimes seemed that you'd forgotten that we were watching you at all. You are the least self-conscious housemate we've ever had on Monster Big Brother. Was it difficult for you to be so contained in the house?
M: You bet it was. I am so glad to be out. Yay woooo!
DM: Have you seen that Lurly Jack is here in the studio audience?
M: Is he? Aw, brilliant, it's great to see you mate (runs off into the audience again)
DM: (shouting) Alright then, just one question. Who do you want to win Monster Big Brother Marvin?
M: ME!!!
DM: Ermm...cut!

Day 19 - Mabel and Madeline's Eviction Interview

Yesterday afternoon, Mabel and Madeline were the third Monster Housemates to be evicted from the Monster Big Brother house. Here are the highlights of their interview with host Duleea McChen.

DM: Ladies and Gentlemonsters it's Mabel and Madeline!
M&M: Hello Duleea
DM: I know you were both thinking about leaving the Monster Big Brother House earlier this week. Are you glad you stayed for the eviction?
Mabel: Yes I'm glad we stayed, it was nice to get such a lovely reception from the crowd
Madeline: See, I told you it would be better.
DM: So why did you want to leave?
M&M: The tension in there is unbelievable it's a constant pressure
Mabel: And whatever was happening with Kelvin and Morris was getting frightening
Madeline: Definitely worse than weird
Mabel: But Kelvin keeps saying it's fine. I don't know if he's just being bullied
DM: Don't worry about them, we know a little bit more about it now, I'll tell you later. But let's talk about you two. Do you think that being a two headed monster helped you to cope better with the pressure?
Mabel: No, not really
Madeline: A little bit, it's difficult to know what it must be like to only have one head
Mabel: It must be limiting
Madeline: So I can't really say for sure.
DM: So who would you like to win Monster Big Brother
M&M: Swannie, she is the real thing, genuinely sweet and girlie, she's totally adorable.
DM: Thank you Mabel and Madeline, you've been great housemate(s)

Day 19 - A Dismal Dinner Party

Last night Monster Big Brother provided a sumptuous dinner party in the house and invited the final five Monster housemates to attend the formal meal. At first the monster housemates were really excited at the prospect of a little glamour. Hector and Terrence helped Kelvin to tie his bow tie and Swannie wore a very sparkly tiara.

However, once the meal was in progress it didn't take long for the dinner party conversation to turn to the recently evicted monster housemates.
"It's so quiet" said Terrence "I wonder what Marvin's doing right now?"
"Partying the night away no doubt" said Ganymede
"It would have been so funny to see him in a bow tie, bouncing off the table, if only we had some chandeliers, then he could swing from them" bemoaned Kelvin
"But we have no chandelier" said Hector, a little confused "and no Marvin"
"Cthulhu would have loved this" said Ganymede sadly.
"Let's toast our ex-housemates" said Swannie and when they toasted their friends it was the happiest they were all evening.

Cheer up monsters! There's still another week to go.

Day 18 - Morris is Evicted

Mysterious Morris is the seventh housemate to leave the Monster Big Brother house. Duleea McChen told me earlier that she thought he was going to get a negative response from the crowd here and it looks like she may have been correct.

The crowd are booing and there's a chant of “who are ya!” as Morris steps slowly from the house. He actually looks strangely proud of himself. Oh no, some members of the crowd are throwing shoes at him...oh security have just surrounded Morris and they're escorting him to a waiting car. This is very unusual, the car is driving straight into the studio as the crowd keep throwing things at the car.

Morris has a lot of explaining to do. Come back tomorrow for his interview with Duleea. I hope she can get some answers.

Day 18 - Cthulhu is Evicted

Cthulhu is the fifth housemate to be evicted from the Monster Big Brother house and here he is now.

He looks very majestic waving his tentacles at the crowd. I can see a few girl monsters with homemade banners, one of which says “Cthulhu! You can cuddle me any time!!!!!” I think he's spotted it and he's winked at her! Or he could just have been blinking in the bright lights.

The crowd are not as enthusiastic for Cthulhu as they were for Marvin. And I don't see Cthulhu (Sky) anywhere, I thought he would have been here to support his friend and species-mate. Duleea's coming to meet him now and aww, he's giving her a big hug.

Day 18 - Evictions #5 and #6. Duleea Speaks to the House

The monster housemates have been called back to the living area and their worst fears have been confirmed. There is about to be another double eviction. Duleea's voice is heard in the house:

"Monster Big Brother House, this is Duleea you are live on the blog, please do not swear!!"

"The poll has closed, the votes have been counted and verified and I can now reveal, the fifth and sixth monsters to be evicted from the Monster Big Brother house are............... Cthulhu

and ............... Morris.

Morris stay where you are, we'll see you in an hour, Cthulhu come to the front door, it's time to leave"

Most of the monster housemates are gathered around Cthulhu, but Kelvin and Morris are whispering furiously, I can hear Kelvin saying "she's going to know, they have researchers"

Day 18 - Marvin is Evicted

Marvin has been evicted from the Monster Big Brother house, what will the crowd reaction be like for one of the most exuberant monsters housemates we've ever seen?

Here he comes now, through the door. He's jumping up and down at the top of the stairs and waving his arms. The crowd are going wild, oh...hang on, he's fallen down the stairs. There's a gasp from the crowd...but he's up on his feet again and heading straight for the edge of the walkway and...He's Crowd Surfing! I have never seen anything like it, the security monsters are fighting their way through the crowds to bring him back to Duleea. What a nutter!

Day 18 - Mabel and Madeline are Evicted

Earlier this afternoon Mabel and Madeline were evicted from the Monster Big Brother house. There have been a lot of tears in the house since that announcement was made and now, here they come,

Mabel and Madeline are looking particularly beautiful tonight as they leave the Monster Big Brother house and step nervously down the stairs. The crowd are giving them a polite reaction, no booing or slogan chanting.

And there are two Great Danes on the stairs, rushing towards Mabel and Madeline and knocking them down. They're barking enthusiastically and wagging their tails. These must be Mabel and Madeline's dogs. It looks like they've been missed out here.

Swannie bursts into tears as she hugs her friends Mabel and Madeline and Marvin doesn't know who to turn to next as everyone tries to hug him at once.

Kelvin gives a nervous cough "So will there be another eviction later?" he asks anxiously. Everyone stops hugging as they realise that maybe today's evictions aren't over yet.

Day 18 - This Afternoon's Evictions

This afternoon, four of the Monster Big Brother housemates will be evicted from the house. However, the monster housemates don't know that this is planned. They are expecting the usual two evictions.

The beautiful and always monstrously glamorous Ms Duleea McChen will speak to the house at 2pm to ask two of the monster housemates to leave and then again at 4pm to ask two more monster housemates to leave.

The Monster Big Brother blog will have exclusive live coverage of all four evictions as they happen and highlights of the evictee's interviews will be available on the blog tomorrow.

Four evictions in one night? This is going to come as quite a shock to the housemates.

Day 18 - A Visit to TheKitschEnd

It has become obvious over the last few days that there is more to our grumpy old Morris than meets the eye. Unfortunately, for Monster Big Brother, Kelvin isn't much of a talker. So, we sent one of our researchers to TheKitschEnd to see if we could find out more about our socky mystery.

We were lucky enough to run into ~~the village loudmouth~~ a delightful young lady, who gave us information which may 'shed' some light on the secret being kept between Morris and Kelvin. To protect her identity she would like to be referred to as Neaputella.

MBB: Hello, we were wanting some information about brown sock monsters and being a brown sock monster yourself, we wondered if you might be able to help.

N: Sure I can, I'll do my best, but you must understand I'm not one for spreading gossip.

MBB: What can you tell us about your hair colour?

N: Well, mine's green, as you can see. The rumours about me being a natural pink head are COMPLETELY untrue. I am totally au natural. Well there was that one time that my boyfriend, Peanut, he took me to a Thrilly Idol concert for our anniversary, which was very sweet of him don't you think? and I bleached it so that I could look like Thrilly, but we got thrown out of that one because Peanut is just so loud he was singing over Thrilly and Heave Heavens guitar. 11 was not loud enough, let me tell you (She now stops for a breath)

MBB: Well actually, we were referring to brown sock monsters in general.

N: Well, as I said, I'm a natural green but you can also be a pink head or a purple. My friend at work from the next street over, she has green hair too but it's all light and stuff...so weird...it looks like the pond water she spends most of her day in.

MBB: And what about orange?

N: No she's not got orange hair...OH, you mean do brown sock monsters have orange hair? Well, I'm not supposed to say so you won't tell anyone will you? I hate gossip but you this isn't gossip is it? You asked so nicely. WELL, if you see a sock with orange hair you need to look out. Watch out for weird things happening 'cos they're not monsters at all. The clue's in the colour. I was mistaken for a brownie myself once, but the idea of me doing something helpful? I'm just too busy to have a 'thing' that I do which "helps" loads of people.

MBB: One last question. Do you know this man? (Shows picture of Morris)

N: Oh yeah, he's the baldy that lives round the corner next to that other one that's on Monster Big Brother too, the one that helps cats out of trees. He's a grumpy old fart. Personally I want Ganymede to win; he's so horny. Peanut gets dead jealous when he's on screen; keeps going on about how short he is. So yeah, Ganymede, not Morris, barely got a hair on his bald old head, too old to be...in...the...house..............hang on, didn't some shoes go missing?...And they came back fixed?...AND he's got...

Voice from N's house: PEANUTELLA!!! GET BACK HERE, THE DOG'S ESCAPED!!!

N: Got to go. My poor Footsie's got out again.

Day 17 - Celebrity Fans

Whilst the monster housemates are wondering whether anyone in the outside world even likes them, we've talked to a few celebrity monsters to find out who are their favourites:

Frankenstein's Monster is a firm fan of Cthulhu. "He has a taste and refinement and a love of culture which I really appreciate". He says

The Zombie Horde, fresh from their appearance in "Pride & Prejudice & Zombies" could only give us this incite..."BRAINS...BRAINS..." which we assume means they're fans of either Mabel and Madeline or Ganymede

Gossamer (from the Warner Brothers cartoons) says he likes "George" which isn't very helpful either, but we think he means Marvin.

Thankfully the Loch Ness Monster is more precise, he emailed us to say he's backing Morris 100%. "I know a shady character with a secret when I see one"

Sasquatch has publicly admitted that he'd like to take Swannie out for dinner when she gets out of the house and Hector has had many similar offers including one from The Blob!

And finally we recently had a fax signed "The Triffids" asking if they could come to the final night eviction party as they are big fans of Kelvin and Terrence. Naturally, we declined the offer, feeling that this particular plantlife is better kept behind glass.

If only the monster housemates knew how much everyone loves them.

Mabel and Madeline have been even quieter than usual since the monster housemates failed the task yesterday. Swannie asked them what was wrong. In a whisper they replied.

"We're frightened we'll be evicted tomorrow and even more frightened of what the monsters outside will think of us." they said together
"I want to go now" said Mabel "But I think we should stay for the eviction" said Madeline

Swannie gave them both a give hug. "You girls are great", she said, "what would we do without you? You cook, you're really good at calming Marvin down and you're both so beautiful. I'm sure everyone loves you. Please don't leave."

Madeline cheered up a little after this pep talk, but Mabel didn't look impressed

Day 17 - Tales of the Unpopular

Last night the Monster Big Brother house was very subdued, many of the housemates went to bed early, but Ganymede, Kelvin, Morris, Terrence and Swannie drank a lot of tea and talked about how strange it feels to be in a popularity contest.

"I've been burned by this sort of thing before" said Ganymede "and yet here I am putting myself through it again"
Terrence was confused by this "You've been on Monster Big Brother before?" he asked.
"No, but I did go in for the Artisan's Challenge on Blockhead Radio"
"Ouch" said Swannie, "Are you crazy? That's a brutal competition"
"I heard it's rigged" said Morris, but no-one was really listening to him
"So what happened?" asked Kelvin
"I was beaten by a pillowcase" said Ganymede shaking his head
"That's nothing to be ashamed of" said Kelvin "Pillowcase monsters can be very endearing..."
"No, not a pillowcase monster, an actual pillowcase." said Ganymede
A stunned silence fell over the monster housemates
"An actual piece of fabric folded over and hemmed down one side" confirmed Ganymede. "And it beat me, a monster who took hours to make and was designed from scratch. It's too depressing"
"wow" said Terrence, obviously lost for words
"But you're still here" said Kelvin
"Yes" agreed Swannie "We're all still here, so someone must be voting for us."

Day 16 - Task Results

Monster Big Brother: "Monster Housemates, you are live on the blog, please do not swear. Earlier this afternoon you completed the Overcoming Obstacles task. You were asked to complete the task in under five minutes. However, your total team time was 5 minutes and 37 seconds. Therefore you have not passed this week's task".

The monster housemates all look very disappointed and Ganymede is kicking the sofa leg, oh hang on he's fallen over. Poor clumsy Ganymede.

So the monsters get no reward tonight, I suppose they'll have to make their own entertainment.

Day 16 - A Troublesome Task

The monster housemates completed the Overcoming Obstacles task this afternoon. Here's how they got on.

Cthulhu was the first to attempt the course, although his many tentacles got entangled in the netting and it took him valuable seconds to get free, Marvin went next, speeding round the course in what felt like a record time, he made it through the netting, over the wall, onto and along the balance beam and over the see-saw without even breaking a sweat. Then it was Hector's turn, he kept up a good speed too and the anxious monster housemates gave him a huge cheer when he made it over the wall, which had been giving him trouble during practice.

Ganymede was next and he was doing very well until he came to the end and fell off the see-saw, twice! His housemates commiserated with him as Swannie took her turn, her graceful nature was a real asset and she was surprisingly quick over the wall too.

Morris was the next up, he was very fast and agile, shocking his housemates into silence, then Kelvin took the next relay leg, although not as fast he didn't make any mistakes. He was followed by Mabel and Madeline who were speedy although a little clumsy. And finally Terrence took the last leg of the relay with the monster housemates screaming their encouragement all the way.

Day 16 - The Overcoming Obstacles Task

The monster housemates are in training to complete an assault course that Monster Big Brother placed in the garden overnight.

If ALL the monster housemates can complete the course in under five minutes they will win the task and a special reward. If they fail to make it around in under five minutes they get nothing.

They will run in relay, but earlier this morning they were taking a long time to decide which order they should run in:

Day 15 - Who's the Cleanliest of Them All?

After fifteen days of communal living the Monster Big Brother house is a little less clean than it was at first.

Although Kelvin likes to wash up dishes and Mabel and Madeline keep the kitchen clean, no-one has done any other cleaning since they arrived!

Monster Big Brother called Cthulhu into the Diary Room earlier this afternoon and presented him with a large selection of cleaning products and instructions to get everyone to work on scrubbing the grime out of the house.

I wonder if he'll need to use his VOICE to get them motivated?

Day 15 - CLANG! Did Someone Just Drop Something?

Terrence has been holding court in the dining area this morning, talking about all the famous Monsters of Rock that he's interviewed in his time as a DJ.

Mabel and Madeline, Hector, Kelvin and Swannie have been "ooooh" ing and "aaaaaah" ing to tales of drinks with the Zombie Stones, backstage with Ozzie Ozzbeast and the time he met The Thing at a party on the roof of his New York office.

Then Ganymede came over and surprised everyone by saying "I know the Spiders from Mars, I shared a room with them for a while, Ziggy is long gone but Weird and Gillie are still around. Weird is still a bit messed up by the whole experience with the band".

"That is so cool" said Swannie.

The Monster Girls

The Monster housemates have been wondering about the inbalance of girl monsters and boy monsters in the house since Day 1. When they first moved into the house there were 10 monster boys and only 2 monster girls.

Monster Big Brother had always intended to introduce new female monsters into the house during the first week, however an incident involving the production team has now made this impossible.

This incident has been reported in the press under headlines such as "Marauding Monster Make-Up Miss Munches Mates". The reporting has been inaccurate and we would like to take this opportunity to tell you the truth about what happened to the other prospective monster housemates.

Our six monster housemates in waiting were being held at a secure location awaiting their entrance into the Monster Big Brother house. One of the production team monsters was insanely jealous of the fame these monster ladies would soon be experiencing and she used her telepathic powers to persuade them to drop out of the process.

Although she did not eat any of the prospective contestants she has certainly traumatised them and in at least one case has caused permanent psychological damage.

The make-up monster in question is being held in police custody.

Day 15 - Taking Them to Task

"I'm not talking about that. I knew that something was going on with Morris, but I had no idea he'd get violent about teabags!"
"He's not violent" said Kelvin, then quickly changed the subject "I forgot Swannie's biscuits too" he added sadly.
"Swannie was really scared yesterday. She turned to Hector again, I think there's something going on there." said Ganymede.
"Oh great, I'm really making a mess of this" said Kelvin cryptically "do you want some more tea?"

Day 14 - Update on Shoegate

The Monster Big Brother production staff would like to say a big thank you to all of you who contacted us regarding our missing shoes. Duleea's missing shoes from eviction night have now been found; re-heeled and many other crew members report having found lost shoes.

Strangely all the returned shoes are now in a better condition than when they were lost.

Day 14 - Kelvin in the Diary Room

After the incident with Morris in the bathroom, Monster Big Brother decided to call Kelvin into the diary room. As the incident was not seen or heard by Monster Big Brother, information was required from Kelvin to discover what had happened and what action to take against Morris.

K: Hello Big Brother.

MBB: Kelvin, how are you feeling today?

K: Oh, I'm fine.

MBB: Is there anything you would like to discuss with Big Brother?

K: No, not really.

MBB: Kelvin, Big Brother would like to know what happened between yourself and Morris in the bathroom.

K: Oh that. It was just a misunderstanding.

MBB: Were you affected by the confrontation?

K: It wasn't a confrontation really. Morris was upset and I just calmed him down.

MBB: Would you say that Morris threatened you in any way?

K: Oh no (Kelvin laughs)

MBB: Big Brother would like you to know that you should not feel threatened by anyone in the house or feel that you cannot confide in Big Brother.

K: I don't and I know I can. Morris is fine. He's just misunderstood.

MBB: Would you care to elabourate?

K: I can't say too much but...well....have you noticed anything strange going on around the house? I don't just mean with the housemates.

MBB: Big Brother cannot discuss the outside world with you Kelvin.

K: I know, but just think about it. And think about his hair. Most brown sock monsters have green hair, sometimes pink, sometimes purple, but never orange. It got me thinking about him when he moved next door. Look, that's all I'm saying. Don't be hard on him Big Brother; he didn't do anything wrong and deep down he's a good guy.

MBB: Thank you Kelvin.

K: Bye Big Brother.

Day 14 - The Toilet Incident

Fear and terror tore through the house today. The housemates had been witnessing something brewing for the last couple of days and it wasn't the tea!

With a cry of "KELVIN!!!! GET HERE NOWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Morris stormed out of the diary room, grabbed hold of Kelvin and dragged him, by the hood, to the Monster Big Brother Big Bathroom. (To give the monsters some privacy at the most intimate of times, this is the only room in the house that does not have cameras.)

The monster housemates could hear nothing but a few yells and screams but Monster Big Brother can confirm that through covered microphones a few muffled words could be heard. From what Monster Big Brother can tell Morris was using words such as 'cover' and 'scream'. Kelvin appeared a few minutes later looking visibly shaken but with no obvious physical injuries.

Only time will tell what really happened in the bathroon but, in the meantime, Marvin has taken to calling Morris, 'The Loony in the Loo'.

Day 14 - Morris in the Diary Room

M: What on earth are you talking about?

MBB: Big Brother understands that you keep something special in your shed. Would you care to share anything about that with Monster Big Brother?

Day 14 - Cracks Starting to Show

Tension was building in the house this morning as mild mannered Kelvin finished making the monsters' shopping list and came back into the house to face his housemates.

Kelvin had forgotten that Ganymede had requested his usual anchovies and Swannie confessed to having a craving for Jammie Dodger biscuits, which he also hadn't added to the shopping list. But it all kicked off when Kelvin admitted to asking for Yorkshire Teabags and not PG Tips, Morris' favourite.

You could have cut the atmosphere with a knife as Morris stomped around the house, banging things and muttering to himself, leaving the housemates and viewers wondering 'What is this guys problem?'

Day 14 - The Shopping List

The tension is always greatest in the Monster Big Brother house on a Friday, but we often don't see the fallout until Monday. And why is that? Because that's Shopping List day.

Every week the Monsters nominate one of their housemates to spend an hour locked in the diary room with a list of products and prices, they must make a list of everything the housemates will need for the next week, but it must also add up to a specified limited budget.

This week, the unlucky shopping list maker is Kelvin. He's already been in the diary room for 46 minutes and he can't remember all the special request items.

"I know that Swannie and Madeline wanted candy, but I can't remember what sort. I'll have to guess. Terrence wants beans, I mean he always wants beans. Hector wanted fresh basil, I think he's going to make something nice with that. Cthulhu and Marvin wanted booze, who did I leave out? Oh yes, Morris, Morris wanted tea bags, phew that's everyone."

Erm, you also left out Ganymede! Oh dear, I wonder if Monster Big Brother will remind him?

"What do you think it's like to be famous?" asked Mabel and Madeline.
Cthulhu (Stripes) answered "I'm quite well known already and I can't say it impacts on me on a daily basis. Sometimes there is inappropriate fan mail."
"You're a literary figure Cthulhu, it's not exactly rock and roll" said Ganymede
"That is true" admitted Cthulhu
Then Marvin said what everyone else was thinking. "I want to be so famous I can make money for just being famous. Brilliant."

Day 13 - Missing Miss Maisy

DM: Ladies and gentlemonsters, give it up for Cthulhu!
C: Hello
DM: I'm going to cut right to the chase Cthulhu, are you surprised to be evicted? You look very surprised.
C: I am a little shocked Duleea, yes. It's quite an experience setting out from the comfort zone of the Monster Big Brother house right into a crowd of screaming fans.
DM: But are you surprised that you were voted out?
C: Of course, I didn't think I'd done anything to make me so unpopular.
DM: I don't think you are unpopular, I just think other monsters are more popluar.
C: Mmmm, seems like the same thing to me.
DM: Do you think it might have been what you said to Hector?
C: Maybe, I shouldn't have blown up like that, but it's something I've lived with now for a long time, people have to understand about tentacle monsters, we're just not all the same, no more than all French monsters are all the same. I suppose if you took my French Monsters statement out of context that might be what's made me less popular.
DM: But your response from the crowd just now was incredible!
C: It was. I feel as though I have reached out to some of my brothers and sisters and I know they share my pain. We can beat this together!
DM: Just one last question. Who would you like to win Monster Big Brother?
C: Cthulhu (Stripes) he's incredibly wholesome for a Cthulhu and he's really taken on the role of father figure in the house, if it's not going to be me I want another tentacle monster to win it.

Day 12 - Lurly Jack's Eviction Interview

DM: So Jack, you're the first out of the Monster Big Brother house. How do you feel about that?
LJ: Really good actually. Woooooo!
DM: Now that surprises me, because from out here, it looked as though you were just starting to hit your stride in there.
LJ: Yes, I was starting to enjoy myself, but I've learned so much in there that I actually wanted to get out here and put that into practice.
DM: By turning to a life of crime?
LJ: What? No! What do you mean?
DM: When you opened that box for the task, I think that's when you really became more confident. There's been a lot of talk in the media about how you would become an international jewel thief when you got out.
LJ: That's rubbish!
DM: Yes it is, isn't it.
LJ: I felt like the other housemates had really accepted me and that I've started to accept myself and that's important.
DM: It certainly is. One last question, who do you want to win Monster big Brother?

An Apology

Following certain comments made in the Monster Big Brother house during the last week, Monster Big Brother received a record number of complaints from Japan and France. We would therefore, like to take this opportunity to apologise to our readers.

The Monster housemates are often hot-tempered and arguments occur. In retrospect, it is clear that we should have edited the exchange between Cthulhu (Sky) and Hector to expunge all references to pornographic Japanese cartoons, especially as this was aired before the watershed. Similarly, all references to the French as snail eating garlic lovers should also have been "bleeped" in the interest of national harmony.

We are sorry for any offense caused to tentacle monsters, monsters with small offspring, the Japanese Monster Porn Industry and to the French.

Day 12 - Music Soothes the Savage Beast

It's been another party night in the Monster Big Brother house. For getting through the first round of evictions, monster Big Brother rewarded the 9 remaining housemates with a karaoke party.

Almost all the monsters were all eager to show off their vocal skills and let off some steam and the evening started well Terrence sang "I Will Survive", Marvin showed off his punk credentials by shouting his way through "My Way", Ganymede was a little reluctant at first but then mumbled through a rendition of "Life is a Highway".

As the night wore on the song choices became more bizarre as the monster housemates got drunker. Kelvin sang "Islands in the Stream" as a duet with Hector! Mabel and Madeline surprised everyone by choosing to sing "I Kissed a Girl" and Swannie sang "Barbie Girl".

They finished up by singing some group songs, all the usual end of the night monster classics like "Monster Mash", "Flying Purple People Eater" and "My Beloved Monster". There was a lot of hugging and crying and even Marvin behaved himself. Morris went to bed early.

Day 11 - Cthulhu (Sky) is Evicted

The crowd are strangely subdued as Cthulhu (Sky) leaves the Monster Big Brother house, but as he makes his way towards Duleea someone begins a chant.

"TEN-TA-CLES...TEN-TA-CLES..."

There are dozens of tentacled monsters in this crowd tonight they're waving hundreds of banners that say things like "Tentacle Awareness" and "Hentai Go Home". It's a very moving scene and Cthulhu is obviously effected by it. He has his tentacles lifted high and is letting out a blood curdling scream. Amazing.

Day 11 - Lurly Jack is Evicted

Lurly Jack has been evicted from the Monster Big Brother house and he's just about to come back into the real world after 11 days in seclusion. Here he comes...

Jack looks a little unsteady as he's hit by a wave of cheers from the crowd. Now he's waving and smiling and wow, spinning on one corner edge, that's quite a trick, I wonder why he never did that in the house? And here comes Duleea to guide him through the fans and into the studio for one last interview before he's free to go.

Monster Big Brother's beautiful and charming Monster presenter popped into the production offices for a chat and a cup of tea earlier today. We asked her how she is enjoying Monster Big Brother and who she thinks will be leaving tonight.

"Oh it's great, isn't it? Such amazing characters in there this year. I love, love, loved the task! Was there actually a key? We'll never know. Brilliant. I don't know who's coming out first, but I don't think Marvin's got much longer in there do you? He looks fun though, I can't wait to meet him."

And what will Duleea be wearing tonight?

"You know I can't tell you that, it's like a trade secret. But I will tell you that I can only find three of my sparkly stiletto heels for tonight, obviously I need five shoes, so I may have to rush out and buy some more. There's some news for you."

Day 11 - Best Dressed Monster

The Monster Big Brother housemates are all determined to look their best today for the first eviction. They don't know which of them will be leaving tonight but they all want to impress the crowd. Hector has been cleaning his teeth every 5 minutes, Swannie is telling anyone who will listen that she can't find her eviction shoes, Cthulhu (Sky) has some of his tentacles in heated rollers and Ganymede has been polishing his horns.

Meanwhile, Terrence has been nervously eating baked beans all morning. Watch out everyone it could be a windy night.

Day 11 - Eviction Lineup

Here's how it works. Your votes have been counted and verified overnight and at 2pm (Pacific Time) our monstrously beautiful presenter Ms Duleea McChen will address the house live and tell them which of the Monster housemates will be leaving first. The chosen housemate will then leave the Monster Big Brother houseto be welcomed by a crowd of fans.

We'll bring you live courage of the exit and then Duleea will interview the ex-housemate. This interview will be available here tomorrow morning.

All the monster housemates are on edge this afternoon. The evictions are tomorrow and none of them know whether they will be staying or leaving the Monster Big Brother house.

Marvin almost started a riot earlier when he suddenly shouted "Mabel and Madeline are coming unstuffed!" This resulted in a great deal of screaming, crying and running about until Cthulhu (Stripes) pointed out that they weren't coming apart at the seams, they simply had a kleenex stuck on one of their feet.

Marvin should have known better, handmade toys don't come apart so easily.

Day 9 - Psych Analysis Part 2

Monster Big Brother Psychiatrist Dr Schrumpfen has been watching the Monster housemates carefully and has plenty of insight into how they may be feeling after their first week in the house. Here's what she had to say about five of our housemates.

Mabel and Madeline many single headed monsters assume that two headed monsters are more prone to schizophrenia. This is of course untrue and these two are a perfect example of that. I would like to see them let their whiskers down a little though.

Cthulhu (Stripes) He's very classy, but it takes a lot of energy to stay so in control, I wonder if he will he crack and show us his true self.

Lurly Jack obviously has an inferiority complex, which he's struggling to conceal, this may explain why he has aligned himself with Marvin because his exuberance distracts from Jack's perceived shortcomings.

Marvin has a childlike innocence which is very endearing and he is toning down his behaviour. I'll be interested to see if he can continue to "grow up" in the Monster Big Brother house.

Morris. If I had Morris in my office for a consultation I'd be pressing the panic button as soon as he walked in. SCARY!

Sometimes, being Monster Big Brother is a little like being the United Nations.

Earlier today Cthulhu (Sky) and Hector were involved in an argument around the pool, during which Hector made some suggestive comments about monsters with tentacles.

After Cthulhu (Sky) had left the Diary Room. Monster Big Brother called Hector in to the Diary Room to explain his side of the story. Half an hour later Hector agreed to apologise to Cthulhu (Sky) but only if he gets an apology over the "Garlic and Snails" comment.

You could cut the air with a tentacle.

Day 9 - Kelvin in the Diary Room

Monster big brother called Kelvin into the diary room today, to ask him a few simple questions.

MBB: Hello Kelvin, how are you today?
K: Good, a bit nervous about the eviction, but good
MBB: Kelvin, how has your time in the house been so far?
K: Fun and weird. I still can't believe I'm in the house
MBB: Who have you bonded with in the house?
K: Swannie, Terrence and Hector and I like being up early with Ganymede, he's annoying, but he's interesting, if you see what I mean
MBB: Is there anyone you haven't bonded with in the house?
K: Morris, I just don't get him.
MBB: Thank you Kelvin
K: Bye Monster Big Brother

Day 9 - Tentacle Trauma

Earlier today some of the monster boys were hanging out by the pool it was a beautiful Summer's day, the sky was blue and so was the conversation...

Hector, Terrence and Cthulhu (Sky) were talking about the mysterious shortage of monster girls in the house. Terrence said he had someone special at home but he missed the female company and Cthulhu Sky was lamenting his lack of success at attracting monster women.

"You should have no problem with the monster ladies" said Hector
"Why not?" asked Cthulhu, with an edge to his voice
"Well, you know what they say about monsters with tentacles" replied Hector
"OK, I knew this was coming and I'm so sick of it. Not all tentacled monsters are Hentai tentacle monsters"
"He's only joking" said Terrence "aren't you?"
Hector was laughing, but Cthulhu (Sky) did not find it funny and he started to shout
"How would you like it if everyone you met thought you were a pervy Japanese comic book character? I tell you what, how about all French monsters smell of garlic and eat snails? You know this is the reason I came into the monster Big Brother house in the first place. Tentacle Awareness. Yes you should laugh because it's completely ridiculous, but I wouldn't have to abase myself like this if it weren't for monsters like you."
"Calm down" said Hector (still laughing) "some of my best friends have tentacles"
"I've heard that a thousand times before. I don't have to put up with this"

And with that Cthulhu (Sky) stomped off to the Diary Room

Swannie wandered over to see what was going on. "What is a Hentai monster?" she asked
ahem, I hope someone explains it to her gently.

Day 9 - Ganymede in the Diary Room

Monster Big Brother called Ganymede into the diary room today, to ask him a few simple questions.

MBB: Hello Ganymede, how are you today?
G: I'm well thank you, and yourself?
MBB: Ganymede, how has your time in the house been so far?
G: Somewhat bumpy I think. An excellent analogy would be that it is similar to riding a rollercoaster.
MBB: Who have you bonded with in the house?
G: Kelvin, because we're always up earliest in the morning. I miss Ratu for the same reason
MBB: Is there anyone you haven't bonded with in the house?
G: I actually thought I was friendly with Morris, but now I'm not so sure
MBB: Thank you Ganymede
G: You're welcome Monster Big Brother

Day 8 - Cthulhu (Sky) in the Diary Room

Monster big brother called Cthulhu (Sky) into the diary room today, to ask him a few simple questions.

MBB: Hello Cthulhu, how are you today?
C: Feeling better, I'm starting to feel more at home
MBB: Cthulhu, how has your time in the house been so far?
C: Like I said, I feel more at home, I was so overwhelmed by all the personalities when I first got here, but I think I'm finding my house tentacles.
MBB: Who have you bonded with in the house?
C: Interesting question, well Mabel and Madeline are a surprising couple of ladies and after yesterday night I quite like Ganymede, we actually have a lot in common
MBB: Is there anyone you haven't bonded with in the house?
C: Kelvin, he seems so quiet, like he's up to something. And Morris, when is he going to talk?
MBB: Thank you Cthulhu
